Do these cups really change color?Yes! These cups use a thermochromic ink that activates when hot liquid is poured into your coffee mug/color liquid is poured into your pint glass. As your cup fills up, the logos will change color or the rest of the design will appear!

Are there any special instructions when using/taking care of the cup?Not Microwave or Dishwasher Safe! - Due to the sensitive nature of the color changing print Hand Wash ONLY - Gently wash outside of the cup with soft sponge or simply with just water and soapsuds to preserve color changing print. Avoid using tough or rough cleaning tools on outside of the cup. How hot does the liquid need to be for the mug to change colors?- The hotter the temperature, the better the effect. It is best to fill up the mug with a beverage that has been heated up already at boiling temperature - Hot liquid needs to be a minimum temperature of 49°C/120°F in order for mug to change colors - Recommended temperature is boiling point 71°C/160°F for optimal color changing

How cold does the liquid need to be for the pint glass to change colors?The colder the temperature, the better the effect. An ice cold beverage is most ideal. Adding ice cubes can also enhance the color changing effect. Cold liquid needs to be a maximum temperature of 10°C/50°F (cold tap water) in order for glass to change colors Recommended temperature is around freezing level -6.67°C/20°F (ice cold water) for optimal color changing

Am I supposed to see parts of the design underneath the black ink?Yes, you may faintly see parts of the design underneath the black ink (before color change) if examining the mug close up at certain angles and lighting. This was by done by design to ensure the after color changing design did not end up too dark. When looking at the mug from a reasonable distance away you will not see the design underneath the black ink before color change is initiated.

Will design lettering still be visible after the cup changes color?Yes, silhouette lettering will still be slightly visible due to the difference in color shade of the regular printed ink vs the color changing ink

I have heard that the color changing print on these types of mugs are not long-lasting. Is that true?No, the color changing print will last for a long time as well as taken care of properly. Do not put into the microwave or dishwasher. Avoid scratching or picking at the design to help maintain color changing print. Wash outside of mug gently.

Will the mug that I receive look like the pictures online?Yes! Once the mug changes color we make sure that all of our pictures are accurately representing the color change. Sidenote - there are other color changing mugs online that do not entirely match the final product you receive because their product pictures will inaccurately depict the after color change design color, when in fact the mug you receive will be slightly darker once it changes color due to a color changing residue.

Why does the pint glass design sometime change color without cold liquid poured into it?This may occur due to a cold room temperature. Rinse with warm water to change back to beginning stage (white/clear-ish logo)

Can I heat up drinks in this mug in the microwave?No. Avoid putting these mugs into the microwave due to the sensitve nature of the color changing design. Instead, boil water for your drinks or heat up your beverage separately and then pour into the mug.
